LOS ANGELES KINGS SALUTE SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
DURING PRE-GAME AND INTERMISSION CEREMONIES
On Friday, October 28, 2005, more than 18,000 spectators joined Assistant Sheriff
R. Doyle Campbell and Assistant Sheriff Paul K. Tanaka and employees of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department at Staples Center for “Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Appreciation Night.”
The Los Angeles Kings Organization provided discount tickets to Department members and their families. The evening was an excellent social family outing for Department employees.
Participating in the puck drop was Assistant Sheriff Campbell. The evening highlighted ten of the 2005 Medal of Valor, Meritorious Conduct, and Lifesaving Award recipients, who were individually introduced.
More than 300 Department employees and family members enjoyed this tribute to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which was followed by the hockey game between the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks.
