Audio Page
This page contains links to actual short audio telephone
recordings between scam artists and potential elderly victims.
Usually telemarketing scam artists work
in teams. One person makes the initial phone call and baits the hook.
A second person calls you back and closes the deal by asking you to
send a payment to them to cover some sort of bogus fee so you can
claim you prize. This multiple person approach lends to their
credibility. Click here

Once the Closer has all the details of
the scam. He or she will call back the victim pretending to be a
person in authority such as a lawyer or other person who is
authorized to release your prize. The Closer sets the hook by
confirming the information the Opener told the victim. The Closer
will ask the potential victim to send a cashier's check (usually for
around $10,000) to cover the fees or taxes so he can release the
prize. Click here to

The telemarketing scam artists don't
want their potential victim's to talk to anyone about the details of
the con. They will usually tell you that if you discuss the details
of their agreement with anyone for a certain period of time you will
forfeit your prize. This is known as a gag order. You send them your
money and wait several weeks for the prize to be delivered. The prize
never arrives and you have given the con artists the time they need
to disappear with your money. Click
