Sheriff's
Reserve Search and Rescue Team:
|
|
The
Altadena Station is known for the quality of its
Sheriff's Reserve Search and Rescue Teams, totaling
# reserve deputies. This year, the Altadena team
had members graduate from the reserve academy. They
also recruited an additional members who will attend
the reserve academy in the near future. There were
198 call outs for the Altadena Search and Rescue
Team between 1998-2002.

Volunteer
Programs:
|
|
The
community-based program at the Altadena Station provide
invaluable support to the station. These programs include
Volunteers on Patrol, Neighborhood Watch, and business
watch. Volunteers alone donate thousands of hours staging
such events as Open House, the Haunted Jail, Kid Print,
and others that help make the station an integral part
of the community.

Explorer
Program:
|
|
The
Explorer Post had another active year. They participated
in numerous events and activities. The unit performed
in an outstanding manner in the annual Explorer "code-3" Competition,
placing third overall in a field of more than thirty
other Explorer Posts.
