Captain Jay Zuanich Captain Jay Zuanich is a 30 year veteran of the Los Angeles County Marshal’s and Sheriff’s Department. He assumed command of Lomita Sheriff Station in September 2001. As a former resident of San Pedro, the areas served by Lomita Station are familiar territory to him. Captain Zuanich holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Psychology from California State Dominguez Hills. He has three sons and a daughter.
Captain Zuanich has the following message for the residents served by Lomita Station. “I had the privilege of working as a Watch Commander at the Lomita Station from 1994 to 1996. I’ve never worked at a finer place or with better people. Now, to come back as the Station Commander is a dream come true. If it’s possible to work hard, serve our cities needs and maintain a family atmosphere, then this is the place it’s done. I am truly looking forward to serving your community. ”
